This summer has been such a great one, for starters, here in the UK we had some red hot weather for a good portion of it. Although, now it has a more autumnal feel to it, something I’m not yet ready for.
Looking back there were so many cool things which I did during the summer months, such as time with friends, going places with Keil and achieving some awesome things in business.
I couldn’t fit everything in so I narrowed it down to my 7 summer highlights!

The Tour de Yorkshire – Being a huge fan of cycling and running a business related to sport (my other business is Voltage Sport), means I love an excuse to spend a weekend watching live sport! The Tour de Yorkshire is a professional bike race which attracts some of the best riders in the world and here in Yorkshire we have some of the best scenery in the world – It’s a match made in heaven! This was a weekend where the weather was glorious too so it made the weekend even better.

Bradford Means Business Awards – In early July I was the runner-up for Entrepreneur of the Year in the Bradford Means Business Awards. It was a great honour to be nominated as the awards cover the whole city where I live. My other business, Voltage Sport, was also runner-up for New Business of the Year so it was a great night all round!

The Gaslight Anthem – I have a few favourite bands which I’ve been fortunate to see a few times, The Gaslight Anthem is one of those bands! Mid-week in July I went to Manchester to see them and they didn’t disappoint. There is something so great about live music and I had a fantastic night. I also combined it with an overnight stay in Manchester which was a nice little break too!
Birthday celebrations – August is always a fun month as both myself and my boyfriend Keil have our birthdays only a few days apart – Which means extra celebrations! My birthday was on a Monday so the day before we went to Leeds to watch football and have a few drinks before meeting family for an Italian meal. On my birthday I went out for lunch, launched a new product on Voltage Sport and relaxed in the evening! To celebrate Keil’s birthday I arranged a surprise day out in Harrogate where we went wine tasting – It was such a fun 10 days!
Trigger Your Blog – I decided to move my online blogging course, Trigger Your Blog, to a new platform to make it more user-friendly for you. To celebrate I also created a free 5-day blogging course which you can sign up for here. My goal is to help as many people as possible to become confident in the content they are creating. It can be scary to put yourself out online via blog posts but when you have the basics sorted it makes it less nerve-wracking!
