If you find it hard to stay consistent with your content creation then you might want to consider batching – It’s one of my favourite ways to get more done, to stay consistent & to free up your time.

One of the things I am often asked, is how do you get everything done? I run two businesses, look after my clients & am always creating original content. I get this done by batching my work.

How does batching work?

It takes a little bit of practice to get ahead with batching but once you have it I promise it will be worth it. By batching, I look at what needs doing for the various brands I manage. For example, if two of them need some blog posts writing, I will do them all at once. The same with Instagram plans, video creation & email newsletters.

By putting similar activities together, once you get into your flow it becomes much easier to do all your creation at the same time. If you have your own blog, with a blog post once a week you could batch all 4 blog posts for the month at the same time.

By writing your blog posts at once it takes away panic on writing them on the day you need to publish them.  It also allows you to get into the blog writing flow so the chances are you will create better content & finally once they are completed for the next couple of weeks you can focus on other aspects of your brand.

If Saturday is your content creation day, 1 week you might writing all your blog posts the next week plan your Instagram content, the following week film some videos & then go back to writing some blog posts to stay on top of it all.

Once you get the hang of batching your content will become more consistent, you don’t have to worry about what to post next & you will also free up time to focus on other aspects of your brand!  Will you give batching a try?
