CONTENT CREATOR: A DEFINITION

Here at The Content Edit, we love to be referred to as & use the word Content Creators.
For us, a content creator is someone who is regularly creating content for their own brand. This might be for your own blog, Instagram account or for your business.

Our Content Creator Definition
To us, a content creator is someone who is following their passion each day & doing what they love. Our brand is focused on content creators as we create content to help both bloggers & business owners – There is so much crossover between the two.
Although as a blogger you might not start out with the idea of running a business, you quickly do. Here in the UK, as soon as you make any money through your blog you need to register as self-employed. You also run your blog like a business, knowing who your readers are, creating content for them to enjoy & being consistent.
For a business owner, you not only have to create your product but also continuously create content to share on social media, write blog posts & find new ways to stand out online.

The two go seamlessly together which is why at The Content Edit we love both worlds! In fact, I started my first lifestyle blog & my freelance business at the same time so for me, they have always been intertwined as my blog would often lead to freelance work even though I didn’t set it up that way!
It’s so fun to see how the two worlds of blogging & business fit so well together, yet they might often feel worlds apart. We would love to encourage you to use & own the phrase Content Creator yourself. You now know when we use the term we are talking to you, whether you see yourself as a blogger or a business owner!
