During the series, I’ll be sharing some of the favourite things I’ve been doing both personally and professionally. To give you a little snippet of what I’ve been up to.
Before we begin to look forward, I thought it would be nice to look back at 2017 to kick off the Caroline’s Chronicles series, so here goes…

The Travel
2017 was the year of travel. I was fortunate to visit some great places and will be sharing more in future posts about some of the adventures I went on. In March I visited Brussels for a trip to the European Parliament, I also went to Bruges for the day.
Then June was a good friends birthday celebration in Rome, a place I’ve always wanted to visit. Seeing Ancient Rome and all the amazing ruins were incredible. September saw a trip to Las Vegas one of my favourite places and somewhere I’ve been many times. During this trip, we launched our Voltage Sport NFL inspired collection. Finally, it was to New York, the place which has been number 1 on my list of places to visit for as long as I’ve had a list! It was everything I thought it would be and more. After 7 nights in the Big Apple, we went on the train north to Boston, a great place to finish a year of travel!

The Businesses
During 2017 it’s been all about business. As I run a number of them it’s been about rebranding, creating a clear vision and simplifying! This is how The Content Edit was created. For 9 months I was on the Entrepreneurial Spark business accelerator program which helped me move forward and refocus on my business goals. It was an incredible experience and it helped the development of The Content Edit and the direction it will take moving forward.
The Content Edit is a brand of my limited company CST Creative, where we also manage a number of social media accounts specialising in Instagram. On top of that I am also the co-founder of Voltage Sport and in 2017 we launched our shop which has been a big hit with sports fans!

The Films and TV
2017 began with finishing Game of Thrones, this meant I could watch the latest series week by week. I loved it despite having many reservations! I’ve not watched as many boxsets this year as I would have liked but I did enjoy Line of Duty series 1 and over this Christmas, I watched Tin Star in two days. I really enjoyed it but was left a little frustrated!
When it comes to films some of my favourites of 2017 have been La La Land, Fences, Dunkirk, Detroit, Baby Driver and The Last Jedi. Going to the cinema is one of my favourite things to do when I want to relax. There are some films I’m really looking forward to watching in 2018 too!

The Fitness
One thing 2017 hasn’t been as good for has been my fitness. It’s been a case of not making the time and also a lack of motivation especially towards the end of the year. As someone who has been a member of a gym since I was 16 I felt like my body needed a break and so did my mind! I do love going and love the feeling after it so I am looking forward to putting my fitness and my health as a priority over the coming months.

Do you have a highlight from 2017?
