AN AWARDS FINALIST

Recently I was a finalist for a business award! The award was for the Bradford Means Business Awards with the Telegraph and Argus. I was shortlisted in the Young Entrepreneur category plus my other business, Voltage Sport, was a finalist for New Business of the Year – What an exciting night!
The awards themselves took place at the Aagrah restaurant in Bradford and was a fancy black tie event. I was born and raised in Bradford, I’ve built my businesses here, worked for Bradford companies in the past and am very proud to be from the city.

Bradford Means Business
It was a real surprise to be in the Entrepreneur category and of course, a great honour. On the night I was runner-up which was great as received a glass trophy which now is in my home office! You can read more about the night and the different award winners on the Telegraph and Argus website here.
One of the great things about nominated for an award is the recognition of a job well done. People don’t see the behind the scenes of the days when it can be tough to build a business so a pat on the back always feels good!
At Voltage Sport, we were also runners-up on the night. You can read about the evening further on our Voltage Sport blog here.
Last year I was added to the Northern Power Women Future List and earlier this year I was nominated for a Yorkshire Choice Award. Although it’s not all about awards, it does feel good and it’s always nice to get dressed up for a celebration with other business folk!

It was great to be a finalist in two categories and we all had such a fun night celebrating! It is always inspiring to see so many other businesses doing fantastic things in the local area, it’s certainly given me a boost to grow my businesses even more!
