5 THINGS I LOVED IN MAY

I’m continuing this new series of sharing the favourite things I’ve experienced & loved each month. For me May was a month of travel, new clients for our Instagram Management packages & there were 2 bank holidays. All of this meant my usual schedule was a little out of synch but I don’t mind when it means I got to experience some fab things!

What I loved in May
1 – Barbados – I spent 11 wonderful nights on the beautiful island of Barbados. This year, I visited with Keil plus my mum & step-dad to celebrate his *special* birthday. It was so nice to spend the days relaxing in the sunshine, enjoy some wonderful food & have lots of time together. I have some blog posts coming soon to share but in the meantime, I wrote my Ultimate Barbados guide for the Girl About website here.
2 – Game of Thrones – I know this was in last months What I Loved post but the final season continued into May. In fact, we watched the last 2 episodes in Barbados as we didn’t want any spoilers! I was satisfied with the ending but I am sad it had to end.
3 – The Tour de Yorkshire – The annual bike race, the Tour de Yorkshire, once again hit the roads of my county, Yorkshire. Being a big cycling fan & having a business, Voltage Sport, with lots of cycling inspired collections, I was able to see the race on Sunday. In fact, I was fortunate to receive some VIP tickets which meant I got a great view of the final sprint at the finish in Leeds.

4 – Line of Duty – Since I came back from Barbados, I’ve been hooked on this BBC drama. I watched the first series ages ago & finally knuckled down to watch some more. I love a police show & think Line of Duty is really well written & well acted. There are lots of twists too along the way which have kept me glued to the screen!
5 – Bank Holidays – Here in the UK, we had 2 long weekends in May which bookended my holiday to Barbados. As well as watching the Tour de Yorkshire, I went shopping, went to the gym & enjoyed some downtime. I love a good bank holiday but sadly the next one isn’t until the end of August!
